THE CULTURE
CONTINUES.
One movement. Two cities. No limits. Windsor Hip Hop is creating new platforms for music, artists, DJs, and community — with major plans for 2027.
Coming in 2027
New events. New connections. A bigger platform for the culture.
Windsor Hip Hop Week
Seven days. One city. An entire culture.
The planning is officially underway for Windsor Hip Hop Week 2027 — a citywide celebration of hip hop culture, its history, its creators, and its future.
The vision is to bring together artists, DJs, producers, dancers, entrepreneurs, community leaders, and supporters for seven days dedicated to the culture.
Planned activities include a City Hall flag raising, music business discussions, women's showcases, Detroit–Windsor connections, battles, live performances, and a closing celebration.
Windsor Hip Hop Week is about more than performances. It's about building opportunities, creating partnerships, supporting independent artists, and strengthening the hip hop community for future generations.
Official dates, venues, schedules, and participation details will be announced as planning progresses.

The Great Lakes Mic Wars
Two cities. Twenty artists. One stage.
The battle lines are being drawn, and the microphones are getting ready.
The Great Lakes Mic Wars brings Detroit's legendary 313 and Windsor's 519 together for a cross-border hip hop showdown.
Ten artists representing Detroit. Ten artists representing Windsor. One song per artist. Three judges. One unforgettable night of lyrical competition.
This event is about skill, stage presence, originality, and representing your city.
The competition will celebrate the talent, history, and energy of both hip hop communities.
It's not about dividing the culture. It's about bringing the best together and raising the standard.
Artist selection, official rules, location, and event date will be announced.

One Movement
Two cities. Two countries. One culture. No borders.
The river separates Detroit and Windsor on a map. But hip hop has never needed a passport to connect people.
From the streets of Detroit to the neighborhoods of Windsor, the music has always moved across the border.
Now it's time to take that connection to another level.
313 × 519 is a movement built to unite Detroit Hip Hop and Windsor Hip Hop through music, collaboration, community, and opportunity.
We are bringing together MCs, DJs, producers, dancers, promoters, filmmakers, radio personalities, and the people who keep the culture alive.
This is about sharing stages, supporting releases, connecting artists, preserving our history, building new platforms, and opening doors for the next generation.
Detroit has its sound. Windsor has its identity. Together, we can build something bigger than either city could build alone.
No competition between communities. No unnecessary division. Just unity, respect, and opportunities.
Different area codes. Same heartbeat. One movement.

THE CULTURE HAS NO BORDER.
We honor the pioneers, amplify today's voices, and create space for the next generation.
Windsor and Detroit have their own identities, sounds, and stories.
United, we can create more opportunities for everyone without losing what makes each city special.
